Another Great Day

The Mohawk Valley
Wow, I can't believe how nice the weather was today. Instead of snow shoveling, I took my kids outside to ride scooters and play a little ball. The Mohawk Valley is so beautiful, winter, summer and fall. I travel to large cities and it boggles my mind how people can live in these human ant farms. I love the excitement and bustle of places like New York City but couldn't imagine living there all the time. You can live right in the Mohawk Valley where the food is good and the crime is low. No traffic jams on the way to work and a hometown brewery in Utica that makes Saranac and Utica Club. I'm not being paid to say these nice things about this area, it's just the way I feel.

Lamb
I'm still reading this book by Christopher Moore and I still can't get over how original and funny it is. I went to mass today and wondered if I should be reading this book since it has some hilarious situations with a young Jesus. I took my kids to Barnes and Noble last night and I swear I could live in that place. If I won the lottery I'd buy every book I could and have my own private library. Oh, well, to dream.

Thanksgiving
This is the time of year everyone gives thanks for the gifts we have. I'm thankful for my fantastic wife, my beautiful children and the good health I have. My family and friends are another reason to be thankful. Notice I didn't list my Mercedes, my big screen television or my condo in the tropics. . . Because I don't have any of these things. The only luxury item I have is my Rolex watch that belonged to my wife's father. I'm holding it until my son is old enough to have it. Not that I don't want the finer things in life but these don't define who I am as a man. I could care less about acquiring wealth and possessions. I don't want to possess what ends up owning me in the long run. Enough of the philosophical mumbo jumbo. Happy Thanksgiving.

Book Release
My book should be out in a few weeks. I'll post it as soon as it's out.
