Adirondack Noir

Mystery Anthology
I'm writing a 5,000 - 10,000 short mystery story that takes place in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. This will be amongst several other stories written compiled into an anthology called Adirondack Noir. I've never been a short story writer but I'm having a great time.

The Godfather
I'm reading the original book by Mario Puzo and I can see why it's a masterpiece. Compelling and hard to put down. I've never seen the movies so I'll do that after I finish the book.

The Evil Dead 2
I bought the DVD of this gem that I hadn't watched in almost 20 years and it's still fantastic. This was when special effects were cables, wires, latex, Karo syrup blood not CGI.

Evil Dead 2
I haven't watched this movie close to twenty years. I forgot what great fun this is and am excited to hear there might be an Evil Dead 4 (a re imaging) in 2008. Deadites unite and celebrate!

Crank
Is there a better action star than the bald-headed Jason Statham? I loved Crank but it's not for the weak-hearted. It's 1.5 hours of blood, beer, babes, violence and mayhem. I loved this flick with all my lowbrow taste.

Manga
I and fellow members of the Utica Writer's Club will be at the New Hartford, NY, Barnes and Noble on Saturday, February 17th, 1pm, to teach kids how to write and draw a Manga character. This Japanese style of cartoons are taking the USA by storm.

My Favorite "B" Star
Well I just finished the books If Chins Could Kill and Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way and I loved every single printed word. I've read and watched everything Bruce has ever done. I watched the original Evil Dead last night along with a few episodes of Brisco County, Jr. You can check out Bruce in his great new Old Spice commercial at his website www.bruce-campbell.com. Bruce has a huge cult following and I'm proud to be amongst the Deadites.

Superman Returns
My wife and I really enjoyed this flick. Kevin Spacey made a great Lex Luthor. This should spin into a cool new direction. Perhaps the return of Zod!!
